We were approached by an aggressive supervisor named Heather. We called the # listed on the flyer in the lobby to let her know we were in the lobby (as the note instructed). With a very unwelcoming body language and attitude we wereinformed that check in was at 3pm. If we needed an early check in it'll be $40. We were fine with paying whatever fees, but it was the manner. When we told her why is she acting like that with us, her immediate reply was she was going to cancel our room...which she did against our will. Hence we flew from Florida for a cruise and isn't familiar with the area. She also told us to get off the property a few time and threatgren to call the cops on us. Myself or my husband who is a disable retired veteran and 30 yr retire law enforcement officer have NEVER been in an any alteration muchless having the cops called on us in a strange place for doing absolutely nothing. She continuously told us to get off the property. I suffer from anxiety and depression. My husband has PTSD and other related disorders and was triggered for days. After visiting the different review sites and reading reviews, it was proven that this behavior by THIS LaQuinta was the norm. From the regular employees to supervisors (Heather) to even the general manager (Dapti). This was not a one time incident but a cultural habit of this location. We are currently in the process of contacting every possible resource (Atty & Vaterans Affairs) to address this issue. We also read 3 weeks prior that a disable veteran with a service dog was also kicked off the property...and just like us, was threatened to call cops . Is this what LaQuinta stands for? Well, you'll need to answer that to the court and the public. We are going all the way with these complaints and joining other customers that were disrespected, threatened and illegal throwne out & had rooms cancelled by LaQuinta rep.
