Ok for one quick night

The location was good to walk to many places and especially to travel to the airport early in the morning by taxi. Very friendly personnel at reception.

Even that is a hostel, room and bathroom were very basic and, in general, very noisy because you hear everyone in the common area. Room wasn't the cleanest also, although ok for one night. We were departing very early, before breakfast time, and they offered to prepare a small bag with something basic to take away (nice plus point) but in the morning the bag wasn't there and the security guy barely spoke English. So in the end no breakfast. That was disappointing: Not because not having the breakfast, we were expecting that due to the early departure, but because of the offer which in the end never became true.

The location was peaceful and quite close to the Palace. The Dorms were clean and the Toilets were well built. Common area was large and well equipped. Potential to be a great fun place with the little change in the managements attitude.

They have strange policies like they ask for travel tickets of your arrival in Bangalore which is to be honest quite ridiculous. Some people were turned away because they did not have travel tickets/didn't remember the vehicle number to show their arrival in Bangalore. These people had confirmed reservations through Hostel World/Booking.com. The receptionist/management would judge the person and allow check-in if they like the profile of the person. They would mention that its written in the terms of booking so read the fine prints carefully before booking this place. Even though I had no problem as I happened to have a ticket lying around but I could easily have been that person denied checkin. I asked the Management head/partner and they responded that we only want to welcome travelers but on the contrary these policies are not very travel friendly and a Govt ID card is more than enough to establish identity and residence. The other thing is that the breakfast was quite passable. The people who are denied check-in are not able to leave a review and hence may not have a voice here in the reviews. Still if you like to stay at this place I suggest calling them up and asking for all formalities and rules in advance.
