    The hotel experience was seriously compromised by the building works
    The hotel was being refurbished and there was a big section of the foyer cordoned off. Very loud buildings works that made the bar and cafe area almost unusable. Probably explains why the room rate was lower than expected

    Despite checking out 20 days ago, the deposit has not been refunded yet
    A deposit was taken from my personal card during the check-in. Later, I made the payment with my business credit card. Despite checking out 20 days ago, the deposit has not been refunded yet. They are also responding late to emails and messages. Such situations should not occur in the service quality of Mandarin Oriental.

    Location is good, the view is amazing, the room is large, they have a good breakfast
    I stayed in Mandarin Oriental Miami in November/2023. I've been to Mandarin Oriental Miami for many times before and in this last time it seems that everything has changed... the service is not first class anymore as it was before... the place seems to be going through changes and the gym, which is shared between two hotel apartments on the 6th floor, was in a state of disrepair... everything is outdated... they put a big curtain to hide something at the reception, giving an aspect of unfinished things... the amenities of the toilet are not as good as before, it used to be Milton Brown in the beginning... the hair dryer is cheap...

    Best hotel experience EVER
    The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I never felt uncomfortable at the location - they knew our names and were happy to assist with everything. They even provided a complimentary slice of birthday cake to help us celebrate! The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job maintaining our very spacious room everyday. The view from my room's balcony was just breathtaking (photo attached). Can't rave enough about this place. Incredible experience, 10/10 would recommend.
    If you plan on traveling around Miami just know the location is a bit inconvenient. I think hotel is AMAZING for stay-cations. Has great food at the restaurants. Has live entertainment. Has a bar. Has a pool and hot tub. Has a spa. Has a store. Has interesting art around. Has a fitness center that hosts yoga classes. You don't really need to leave. But, during all car trips the 4 days of my stay, there was a lot of traffic just across the bridge when you leave the hotel. We had to move dinner reservations back 30 mins due to sitting in traffic for 20 mins a mile from the hotel. However, the experience at the hotel far outweighed the inconvenience of travel.
