    Review of mango Tree home stay
    Firstly, the host or rather the hostess is an amazing individual, taking care of your family as an extension of hers. The double rooms though small are comfortable and will help you relax after your days touring. As a family of 2 plus , would suggest to book 2 rooms if getting the double room. Food was exceptional, traditionally cooked home food. Be aware traditional sauces/ chutneys are a bit spicy. They don't have non veg though, Varsha restaurant close by offers excellent value for money, food ( non veg) included The location was the best factor in the stay, since hampi in itself does not have many good staying options, kamlapur , the location of this stay is just 10 - 15 mins drive from the main attractions. Rest all places , the driving time would entail more time to reach the places.

    The staff were friendly.
    Not worth the price. No facilities except a well maintained room with bed and bathroom. Not even offered water inside the room. Parking is outside.

    Very comfortable and welcoming home stay
    Very comfortable and welcoming home stay in a peaceful location with easy access by auto rickshaw to Hampi. Lakshmi was a very helpful host. You will need an auto rickshaw to get around Hampi because it is very spread out. We were lucky to meet Dasaratappa (+91 9538546051) at Hosapete train station and he brought us to and from the home stay and drove us around the sites in his auto rickshaw for two days looking after us very well.

    if you are visiting Hampi then i would very much recommend this property. Good value for money.
    the house was absolutely spotless and was full of beautiful plants and flowers. The room was a good size and had a good ensuite bathroom. There was a small balcony too. the Air conditioning worked very well. The owner was charming and helpul . She offered a good breakfast and take away food in the evening if desired. All the food we had whilst staying was fantastic - i would recommend the Paradise restaurant.

    Good Homestay that worked well for our Hampi visit
    Mango Tree was welcoming. We had good air con and a comfy bed with decent quality linen. The room had a small balcony but only one chair, but there is a shared sitting out space for all rooms. Indian style bathroom and bedroom were clean and freshened each day. Location is away from the centre and feels a bit isolated, but we got rickshaw to and from restaurants. Seemed to be an attached rickshaw driver available but he was more expensive than others with little English. Owners are helpful and arranged pick up from Hospetet and found us an excellent local guide Pampa who we highly recommend. The owner is very responsive and helpful, and we learned to simply ask if we needed anything. All the staff were smiling and charming.

    Some early morning radio noise we didn't get to the bottom of! We'd suggest perhaps a list of options for breakfast and other services available to guests so people know what's on offer.

    Nice short Hampi trip with comfortable stay at Mango Tree Homestay
    Friendliness of the staff and the owner. Breakfast was good but coconut chutney was spicy.
    We were hoping to have lunch and dinner at homestay. Thats the reason we picked homestay instead of hotel. Owner was generous to order the food for dinner, but we didnt like outside food. There should be an option for dinner with extra expense.

    The property is kept very clean.. the hosts are very helpful.. they helped us arrange an auto for our sightseeing of 2 days and our guide Pampa was very knowledgeable.. He explained the importance of all the places and made our visit to Hampi memorable
    We were awaken at 6.30am by a loudspeaker playing in the vicinity of the property.

    Wonderful experience with friendly and helpful staff
    I had a great stay at Mango Tree Homestay. The staff was very friendly and were able to check me in as soon as I arrived, even though it was hours before check-in. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and full of character. Overall a great value. Lakshmi, the proprietor made great dosas each morning, and Mustafa, the auto rickshaw driver, made exploring the surrounding ruins a breeze. I was actually most impressed with Mango Tree by something that happened after I checked out. I had just sat down to eat lunch at a restaurant when I suddenly began to feel very sick. Mustafa took be back to the hotel, stopping on the way to pick up some rehydration drinks. Lakshmi set up a bed for me even though I had already checkout out, and since I was having stomach trouble, even prepared a simple bowl of rice and curd (yogurt). They made a potentially difficult and dangerous situation far more manageable. This is the sort of treatment you'll never get at a big hotel or resort.
