Adequate Mercure standard. The building is a bit dated and you can see it in the rooms too, but they are kept in normal condition and clean

Location at first seems good as it is close to Makassan station (train to BKK) But be aware - if you arrive by train from airport be prepared to walk on a busy road with your luggage, there is NO SIDEWALK!!! Total No Go for me. Also quite overpriced for Bangkok. Stay at nearby Lancaster, it is hundred times better

Pretty good location, close proximity to makkasan and petchaburi stations

Xmas playlist on loop after Xmas. Also, the evening playlist by the bar area and pool kept playing the same 20 songs on loop to the point it made me leave the pool area.

I would choose another hotel over this one due to the staff and the area, but the hotel is passable.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, the pool area was shaded and the cocktails were good.

The staff were extremely slow and seemed unbothered with being helpful. I ended up going back downstairs from my room to get my luggage when the porter did not manage to bring it up after half an hour, and found it unattended in the entryway. I had to wait to speak with them when they returned so that they did not think it had been stolen! The pool did not have towels and it took a phone call to reception and then a conversation with three other staff members before someone from housekeeping finally retrieved one from behind the bar. We ordered cocktails by the pool on a day where there was maybe only four other couples there, and they took almost an hour to make. The location is also awkward. It is not far from Makkasan station, but on a main road with no footpath, shoulder or lighting and we had to cross a train track and walk down a four lane highway to get to and from the station. It is also on the back of an area with plenty of services and places to eat, but the rear of the hotel has no access so you need to walk down the aforementioned highway and around the corner almost a kilometre to get to it all. There is an MRT, khlong boat, SRT and airport train all within a 20 minute walk, but they are not pleasant walks due to the logistics of the area and there is nothing to see.
