    A lovely stay in this beautiful country house. Lots of period features which add to the comfort of the stay. Exceptionally clean throughout the hotel. We chose to eat at the grill, the food was very very good, with a great wine menu to suit. A drink in the bar next to the open fire ended the night brilliantly. We had a cooked breakfast in the morning, which was great. Service from all the staff during our stay was 10 out of 10.

    Great location, log fire and nice lounge for tea. As there was a wedding ongoing it wasn't great for us in the bar etc..
    Restaurant menu very limited and dated. Very good fish and chips but needed more variety so ate out on night 2.

    This is a wonderful old property providing quaint accommodation in a beautiful location. The welcome for pets is excellent. We loved our stay.

    Anniversary stay
    The hotel has stunning features, the fine dining was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Views from our room were spectacular.
    Having stayed in all three hotels in the group, I found the Merewood in need of some updating (decor). However, this would not put us off staying again.

    A very brief stay with my dog as a stop over from London to Belfast. Amazing staff who made us feel very welcome (treats and a brief game of ball!) The bathroom was sparkling!
    TV channels were a bit limited and the Wi-Fi didnt seem to stretch to my room

    The hotel is a bit tired. Given a room on a frosty night with no heating switched on............freezing. The hotel wasn't busy but still given a room with a view of dilapidated outbuildings.
