And the location is great
The noise from the air conditioning outside the window, this is the only complaint I have

Perfect fit for a colonial feel
Colonial feel with modern touches. Just two blocks from Independence Hall and walking distance to terminal market. Staff was amazing and the restaurant was fantastic

An excellent choice for old fashioned comfort in a big city.
A wonderful journey back to the days when there were well-run inns. The surroundings were welcoming and the room we had (a mini suite) was most comfortable. Excellent continental breakfast was included as was afternoon tea! The adjacent bar and restaurant were also excellent.

Charming and comfortable old city stay
The hotel was incredibly charming and the historic restoration does not go unnoticed. The room was very comfortable as well as the lounge areas throughout the first floor. Very central to many attractions tho we were mainly there for the convention center. We ate at high street Cafe and di Bruno every Day we were there for snacks or lunch.

Glad we booked! The convenient location, cozy house, and kind staff made the trip a good one!
Loved the simple, buffet breakfast! The atmosphere was so cozy and perfect for the time of year! It was nice to meet other people who were staying at the hotel. I felt like I was in my family's old Philly home they moved out of a few years ago. Great spot!
The bed was ok! Clean (which is the most important detail) but not the most comfortable. My cousin slept in the pullout sofa and that was really uncomfortable unfortunately.

Charming historical oasis in Center City
The homey authentic colonial atmosphere and the decor are reminiscent of a lovely New England bed and breakfast inn in the heart of the city-unique ! But the best features is the caring helpful stuff , all were terrific . They go above and beyond . Last but not least , loved the included breakfast, coffee station, cookies, and bathrobes in the rooms.
The light in the bathroom in my room was poor, I could not put on makeup easily . I also felt that the shower was very substandard.. ( Also, the TV set was pretty much not working, but I did not ask for it to be fixed since I wasnt there much.)
