Great mini break.
The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless, decorated really well, and the facilities were excellent. The room was a great size with a superb bathroom.

Disappointing
Anniversary spoiled by poor service at dinner
My partner and I booked the Deluxe Room for our anniversary and requested a leisure pass for the day so that we could use the spa facilities. I messaged in advance to request if all the facilities would be available and was told it would all be ok. The hot tub was unfortunately not available when we arrived but all other facilities were available. The room was clean, dark & and we slept well. It came with a kettle, coffee/tea/milk and biscuits. The reception staff were very friendly and polite.
For our anniversary we booked dinner at the Helene's bar restaurant which wasn't a great experience for us. We did our best to not complain on the evening as we preferred not to make anyone feel uncomfortable but we were extremely dissapointed to say the least. We sat down at exactly 19:30 and made our starter/main orders immediately, we already had drinks. We ordered the squid starter to share and a main meal each.
The restaurant was quiet.
25mins after we were seated a couple were seated at a table next to us & they ordered right away similar to us. Their starter came at 20:10. The couple ordered the squid almost 30mins later but received it first which was odd.
I went up to the waitress at the bar and asked if our starter would be much longer as we ordered it 35mins ago, she said she would check and let me know. 2 mins later the waitress walked past our table and said "there has been a mix up, it will be with your shortly". She did not stop, apologise or even allow us to ask a question. She essentially ran off.
At 20:20, 50 mins after being seated the waitress brought over our starter. To our surprise she brought out the Whitebait starter. Confused I called her over again and stated this is not what we ordered. She grabbed the dish and ran off, she did not return to the table after this moment or apologise to us at any point.
At 20:30 we received our starter, 1 hour after being seated. We were both starving and aggitated, nonetheless we did not complain & asked for the main to come out as soon as possible.
A different waiter brought out the bill & said they had removed the cost of our "2 starters" as an apology, it showed "15 discount". We were given discount for a starter we never ordered. It seems strange that the waitress would put that on the order at all when it was never ordered.

We had an amazing relaxing stay. Excellent food and drink. Outstanding customer service. A gdd we m of a hotel.
This was a cosy, very clean, comfortable hotel. The customer service was outstanding, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean. The restaurant menu choice and food was amazing. Beautiful hotel.

Very large, quiet, well equipped and comfortable room. Comfortable bed, very nice soft linen. Very helpful and welcoming reception staff. I paid extra for late checkout, which was well worth the money. Lunch in bar was very nice. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Free parking in large car park with ample space.
The breakfast was very ordinary but helpful & friendly staff. Service at dinner in restaurant was slow, but I think they were very busy. Food was tasty, but expensive.
