The bed, it was uncomfortable bumpy as if it needed a mattress replacement, pillows were great. The carpet area, we weren't sure if it was cleaned properly. The timber furniture in the room was little dusty, the room didn't feel fresh. The view from the balcony great, but there was a green synthetic like grass covering a big area, not a good look.
Breakfast location was excellent with beautiful views and staff was attentive.
Food choices in the buffet are limited - the hotel has chosen to provide a la carte menu dishes.
That means that portion tend to be too big for us. Also with a la carte you cant really tell what you will be getting until presented.
A hot food buffet would be more exciting, appealing and inviting to us.
Also the cooks/chef/kitchen can then concentrate on getting the dish right - instead of getting overwhelmed by the many different a- la-carte orders which on the Sunday, you could see that quality was suffering by the sheer quantity of orders.
Asian food options were provided- but the congee was not really a congee (congee has to be broth and and some rice - this was cooked as a risotto with too much rice and no broth - toppings were excellent though) the fried rice was not up to standard- (fried rice may seem like a simple dish but there is a skill to cooking it properly).
