Disappointing

Receptionist looks tired. No offer of concierge service to rooms which are not so near until requested. We have to walk to and fro to restaurants every meal. No room amenities such as toothbrush n slippers.

Okay stay can get better value for money elsewhere

Lovely setting on the lake with a beautiful golf course. Staff were responsive and helpful.

Lakeview suites are very dated and in need of refurb. Everything just about works but feels like you are staying in a room which is stuck in the 90s - for example extractor fan felt like it was on its last legs loud noise when in use, shower door didnt close properly water went everywhere, as a result mould build up on bad tub, bath tub spar functionality makes a very loud noise. Location is 20-25 min from central Christchurch and all the best places to eat etc but good for connections to surrounding areas of outstanding beauty and also airport. Washing machine is in the garage which you are not told and not in the suite - garage and washing machines were all very dusty and dirty we had to clean ourselves, and garage also used to store personal belongings which made you feel like you were living in someone elses property. Rooms are just surface cleaned sheets nots changed or sink etc wipes down. Internet slow but useable. TV old no streaming services have to use HDMI. Being near lake lots of mosquitoes and also spiders we left with a lot of bites !

Relaxing spacious place

A reception staff member, when checked in with Fart smell salve, cut the cheese without any comment of excuse, which made me not be able to breathe myself. If he said any comment to me, I would have been rather than silent in writing now. Only he and me were there.
