DARK ROOM THAT LOOKED LIKE A CRYPT (from this you can already understand how much they are looking for maximum savings)
THE WIFI SIGNAL IN THE ROOM WAS PRACTICALLY ABSENT (JUST ONE NOTCH WHICH IN THE BEST MOMENTS MEANT SURFING WITH A 56K MODEM!!!)
I suggested buying a repeater and was told that I had to buy a Cambodian SIM and navigate with my smartphone!!!
ONLY ONE ELECTRICAL SOCKET PRESENT IN THE ENTIRE ROOM!!!
DUST AND DIRT EVERYWHERE.
COCKROACHES, CENTIPEDES, MOSQUITOES AND EVEN A LITTLE FROG CAME TO VISIT ME DURING THE NIGHT (SLIPPED FROM UNDER THE DOOR)
THE HOT WATER WAS A MIRAGE (the first evening it came out for no more than 3 minutes. the second evening it didn't come out at all and the following morning at 06:30 I still had no hot water!!!)
BREAKFAST ON THE FIRST DAY (AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT SPENT) WAS SERVED TO ME AFTER 40 MINUTES, making me risk losing the organized tour of the Angkor temples!!! (by the way I'm still waiting for my fruit juice included in breakfast).
I only saw 4 people running the hotel (2 men and 2 women).
Maybe December is not high season for them but the feeling that I was not a welcome presence was palpable.
I ran away after breakfast on the second day and was charged the taxes for 4 days of overnight stay.
Perhaps if they had offered me another room with other standards and at the same price I would have overlooked some aspects, but this offer did not come since the standard is evidently the same in all the rooms.
