The Residence Inn by Marriott Corpus Christi Downtown is highly praised for its friendly staff, clean rooms, and fabulous amenities. The breakfast options are impressive, and the bar in the lobby is a nice feature. However, one guest had a negative experience with bugs in their room, although the front desk promptly addressed the issue. House keeping staff have conflicts with each other the morning and evening what I saw it because didnt clean my rooms both the morning staff ignored me and when I asked the evening blames the morning! This isnt good and as customers dont accept! I will send details email because hotels investment is not easy. The industry is very important everyone is shareholders customers community, and including staff and family! This is not joking! Thank you for sending this survey

Pleasant but check your room thoroughly.

The breakfast was great. There is a Belgian waffle station, muffins, bagels, toast, cereals, as well as hot food such as eggs, potatoes and bacon/sausage. Plenty of coffee and juice as well. Loved that this hotel is right across the street from a park and the beach as well as walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, such as Nueces Brewery and BBQ and U&I Seafood Steaks(these are literally across the street).

When we went into our room, we found clothes(not ours) in the couch cushions, and dishes in the dishwasher so it seemed as though the room was not cleaned well. The manager quickly apologized however still not good. The hotel overall seems to need a refreshing, it is looking old with cracked sinks and not so great shower heads.

Superb

New favorite place to stay in Corpus!

The staff, the room, breakfast and parking.

The exercise room could use a bit of updating, and i/we noticed people who were not guests being invited and let in from the outside into the pool area.

The staff handle the reservation was very rude, no idea what they were doing. The gave the wrong room, asked me to come back after 4:oopm for check in when the reservation received said 3:00pm check in. Very bad from the beginning.

Dumb idea to turn off A/C in a vacant room

location

the hot room; A/C was turned off. took over 12 hours to cool down. 1st night hit and stuffy. no sleep so next day too tired to enjoy beach.

Not what we expected.

I liked the location of the Hotel and the friendly staff. Plenty of space to move around, pool was nice. Breakfast was really good and plenty of options. I have to say best complementary breakfast we've had.

What we didn't like was that we requested to have room service daily as we traveled with 2 toddlers, we stayed 3 nights 4 days and no room service at all. We had the hotel maintenance help us with trash and towel exchange. We also had no sleep 2 nights due to antz on the beds. Another thing is the transitions from carpet to flooring in the room were a bit concerning as the children took their shoes off and there were missing parts of the transition molding and if you were to step on them would definitely get hurt. Also we did not get a sofa bed like we booked and there are no vents in the bathroom. They offered a rolling bed that we never got.
