    It was easy to find Shana. Host lady told me that she had a problem with electricity and took me to her sister's house called Bimal Villa which was 2 minutes walking distance. So my comments here are for Bimal Villa. Bimal Villa is run by a sweet lady and her daughter. The room was big, light and spotless. Had a a very good working A/C and fan. Ensuite bathroom. Internet worked very well. Location was behind the railways which I thought would be noisy but it was not. Very close to the beach, 2 mins walking. Breakfast served on the balcony and it was very tasty with fresh fruits, fruit juice, eggs, coconut milk rice and tea/coffee. The owner runs a small restaurant closeby the accomodation where locals come and eat. I had lunch there and it was so yummy. Bimal Villa cannot be seen on booking dot com currently due to a technical issue which the daughter was trying to sort out while i was there. Shana Sri Villa's son spoke very good English and he took me to exchane money, to an ayurvedic shop and to a massage place with his tuk tuk free of charge. He also organised my taxi to the airport for a fair price. So, overall I cannot talk much about Shana Sri Villa but only for Bimal Villa. This is a place i would come back to stay longer if I am ever in the region again.

    The only thing would be the hot water pressurre. It was not very powerful so the hot water was coming very little. Other than that all was great.

    My reserved room at Sahani Sri Villa had water problems in the bathroom (so I was told) so my hosts put me up in their sister in laws bed and breakfast just down the road (this hotel is called Bimal Villa). It was the same type of room I had booked at Sahani (single bed, AC) and fit my needs for the trip. Nice breakfast included, mosquito net around bed, prime location right near plenty of food and a 5 minute walk to the beach and Bentota train station. I felt safe staying there and Sahani Sri Villas folks even drove me in their tuktuk my first day for a reasonable price to some key sites I wanted to see.

    No hot water even though it was advertised. Super close to the railroad so loud when trains would go by.

    A lovely family
    A lovely home with an amazing family. The breakfast was incredible, so yummy! The location is great too, very close to the beach and restaurants. The room itself is a good size with good A/C and bright lights.
    Unfortunately the bathroom had an overpowering smell which seemed a bit like drainage. We just kept the door shut and it was okay. The WiFi was also a bit dodgy.

    lovely hostel run by local family. very clean and superfriendly service with an breakfast that will definitely last till noon (if you finish even longer :) it's a short way to beach and you don't have private balkony, but i didn't regret my choice at all. big thumbs up!

    We really enjoyed our stay! The location is nice (close to a clean & spacious beach), great restaurants are in the area as well. The host is very kind, and the breakfast was plenty and tasteful. The room and especially bathroom was very clean. Next time we will stay longer!

    Beautifully clean and fresh room, excellent air conditioning. Just 2 minutes walk from the beach and some great little restaurants. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The host Prianthi and Raj couldnt do enough for me. Their son also helped with arranging a car and driver for onward travel at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place
