    The property itself is ok. Quite warm in winter (when I was visiting), has all the necessities. I would say good value for money. You get what you pay for. The host was very kind to me, gave me the instructions on the phone how to get to the property.
    Location. 20 mins by walk to downtown, which is fine. But along the river. First of, its not a very pleasant walk for a women along the river in the dark. After 7pm you can barely see any people, not to mention the path is not really lighted. I was using the flashlight on my phone, and was not enjoying it at all. (Honestly was a bit terrified). No other way to get there, but a bus or a car. I wish it was mentioned, cos I think for the tourists its important to know whether its within the walking distance, cos the second day on the way back, it was the flood, and I had to walk back and take an Uber. Wasnt brave enough to cross it (saw the locals were crossing), which I found crazy and it kinda ruined my holiday spirit. So for the rest of the days I was rather taking an Uber or a bus (the station is like a few mins away). So plz keep it in mind.

    Free street parking and a 15 min walk into York, good instructions from hosts.
    Peeling wallpaper on the ceiling was unsightly and when others in the house used their showers there was a terrible odor of drains

    nice room, compact, very close to Town
    for the price, there was nothing I could complain about at all. I was very happy .

    Great hosts, lovely room!
    Loved the hosts, so responsive and informative, and very sweetly left an advent calendar in the room, as we visited over the Christmas season!
    As it was an old house, there were little bits of mould comig through in the shower and above the window in the bedroom, which left a slightly musty smell, but everything was clean and comfortable.

    The room was lovely and biscuits were provided. The bathroom had a big bath and a big shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and warm.
    The free parking was on the streets and there wasn't that much space. Had to park a few streets away

    Great price, some lovely furnishings, lovely little hobbit hole :)
    Easy access to where i needed to be, very good price too. Lots of close by parking on street. Great and helpful communication from the owners. Great amount of teabags, especially for one person! :) Would be helpful to note in the room description that theres a kitchenette and fridge
    The bathroom was very cold (but the weather was very cold at the time too). The toilet seat was quite wobbly/insecure so could do with looking at. But those were minor things.
