Overall, the Scandic �rnen is a very good hotel in an excellent location. However, some guests found the cleanliness to be lacking, with hair on the bedroom floor and dust throughout. The rooms are s (Read More)mall and expensive, but the hotel's convenient location near the central station and top tourist attractions is a plus. The staff are courteous and helpful. Both check-in and checkout were smooth and quick. The buffet dinner and breakfast were tasty and of good quality.

The room is clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed.
The noise in the evenings until 01:30 from the parties in the reception area, which our room overlooked. Whilst I appreciate functions take place, I find it disrespectful of the hotel to place paying guests in rooms that directly overlook the disco, from where you hear every word of the singing and shouting.
Window facing into the hotel made it feel strange.
Unable to open window and even in December the air con was unable to cool the room. We mentioned this to reception and they said to turn air con to -5, which we had already done. So the room was always stuffy.

Enjoyable stay in Bergen & walked the city, took the funicular for great views. Left on Hurtigruten.
Complimentary tea, coffee and cakes on arrival. We were upgraded to a suite with a balcony on 8th floor which was absolutely lovely. Had our evening meal in the restaurant on the 13th floor. The meal was expensive but very high quality and the service was impeccable.
No criticism.

Short stay in Bergen
Hotel was well located, walking distance from town, close to public transport and shops. Had a great view from our room. The bed was super comfy and the shower was hot and there was good pressure. Breakfast was amazing. Room was not noisy
Took a bit longer than normal to check in, the wait was a bit long.. same with checkout, no key drop available to drop the key on departure. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a bit hit and miss. Had to pay a small fee for an umbrella
