Palace overnight stay

Spacious room with balcony and courtyard and city views. Older style decor

Compulsory dinner on NYE. Looked grand but its outdoor buffet and food offerings did not meet up with expectations and cost.

Stay in the Lake facing rooms only!

Location was excellent

The rooms shown on booking.com are misleading- once we moved to the lake view rooms thanks to the excellent staff we were very happy

ok kind of stay, not my expectation

Property was really nice, but the rooms are really small and pricey, walking around the property was nice. morning BF buffet spread very less compared with Taj and other heritage hotels in india. city was very pleasant and quiet. even though many tourist are coming, people are not greedy very helpful.

Waste of time & money

Location

The entire palace was barebones in its functioning, lacking care. At night our room was flooded after the rains (noones fault) and we called housekeeping multiple times for towels but noone ever came. The breakfast is entirely skippable - all the hot food was dried out, the idlis too hard to cut. While checking in & out it was raining and we were asked to walk in the rain to/from the parking lot down a slope instead of figuring out an alternative (they have golf carts but never think of using them until you ask for assistance).

Great stay , pick the right room!

This place is pretty special! You are part of the palace! Just make sure if you are going to stay get a good room! The budget friendly rooms are not worth the money . Luckily for us we got a great room on upgrade , and it really was beautiful with beautiful views. The restaurant was really good too.

Beautiful place to stay with incredible views of the lake and surrounding area.

Location, location, location. Who would not want to stay in a kings palace. Beautiful historic hotel in the City Palace complex. A haven of calm and tranquillity in the heart of the city. The staff cannot do anymore to make your stay memorable.

Very little to improve upon really. We had a bit of drama when awaiting our airport pick up but that was to do with the congestion around the palace complex rather than the hotel itself.
