People at the reception else were difficult, except for the one mentioned above, they didn't understand English well, they didn't seem approachable and were not helpful at all.
We were given a room upgrade at the time of check in, but soon realised it wasn't actually one, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom wouldn't close, the fridge had missing freezer and the outer door was broken, they hadn't stocked the mini bar which was requested already from them before check in and which they only did after we checked in, but, there were no glasses in the room to drink from and they waited two days after check in when we had to call and remind them of it to send them some glasses. The switch board had switches that were broken and the wifi speed was too low! The view outside the room from the balcony, looked like a construction site, it certainly wasn't a pleasant garden view! The saving grace was the Hagia Sophia towering at the distance.
Calls kept going to the opposite Sura hotel reception, instead of ours, which didn't help the issue of us calling multiples times, but seeing nothing happen!!
Called for an iron board multiple times in a day, we still didn't get it for two full days, despite even requesting the same in person at the reception!! The one god reception staff that helped us check in was the one who actually helped us
The room service was terrible too. They never answered despite calling almost 10times sometime over an hour and more. We had to go through reception to make someone answer the room service line. We ordered coffee a couple times which didn't even get delivered and when the food did get delivered, it was very delayed!!
