Very good

Wonderful and comfortable.

I love the interiors, rooms are spacious and comfortable and I was using the gym daily so this was super convenient for me. The service in the restaurants is impeccable. Also made use of the spa and it was just lovely.

The wooden floors creaked a lot in our bedroom.

Excellent service and attention to detail!

I stayed at the Taj over the Christmas period in 2023. We were warmly greeted on arrival and Rita at reception kindly upgraded our room from a city view room to a mountain view room. I had informed the hotel before our arrival that we were celebrating my husband's birthday, our wedding anniversary and a babymoon. The room was beautifully decorated with rose petals and there was complimentary drink ready and waiting. The room was topped up with a special treat each day which was a really nice touch. The hotel staff were friendly, attentive and provided excellent service. Special thanks is extended to Rita at reception who always greeted us with a friendly smile, Jade at concierge who arranged our safari and Cape coast tours and was a wealth of information, and the breakfast staff who were warm and friendly each morning. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with great amenities. We took advantage of the spa and pool facilities during our stay. Thank you so much to the Taj for making our stay in Cape Town so special. With this time of the year availability of facilities like the spa was poor as there were no availability. Food at the restaurant was disappointing as my meal was salty and had to be sent back and it was a wait until I ate. Additionally there seems to be a difference in service with the foreign tourists and us locals . I would caution on this as locals we are here all year round. I would return however not this time of year

Wonderful stay - highly recommend, great location and wonderful staff!

Incredible breakfast - great selection of both Indian and English options, very extensive menu and lots of fresh fruit and juices. Room incredible and large, great view of Table Mountain and Lions Head. Great location to access all the different parts of Cape Town - easy to get ubers from the hotel to get everywhere. Hotel concierge was incredibly helpful! Staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon extra special.

exceptional experience that was comfortable for 2 nights

very good experience , had an Indian culture and luxury vibe. I got it when a discount was running and I can say no regrets at all staying here for 2 nights! the receptionist at checkin , I think her name was Nathy or something like that was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with ! all of the staff seemed friendly and welcoming. breakfast was exceptional for the most part

I stayed in the heritage wing and it was slightly old ( but no regrets as it was a good old school luxury experience ). think they just need to make sure the infrastructure in these rooms work properly such as the toilet flushing which could have been smoother and the drains which water go down more slowly than normal and floors which creak etc then it will definitely be a more luxury experience. perhaps the tower wing which is more modern maybe a better option for next time to try out need to install some sound blockers to prevent neighbours and outside noise from entering the room breakfast was really good and had a good selection of items, especially if you want to try Indian breakfast. one negative point is that a few breakfast staples were missing sometimes such as cornflakes and bananas. although the staff were more than happy to organise these when I asked them so no major issue
