Disappointing

Beautiful but soulless property.

The location on the lake and within the city Palace complex and its history.

It was a soulless property. It had no ambience. The full lights where on inside the hallways and even in the only in-house resturant. Speaking of the restaurant, it was turned into a canteen style dining although the food was good and the staff are friendly and helpful. I never recieved an email explaining what my suite package covers. I only found out that airport pick up and drop off is included when I sent an email asking. Also when I showed up to the hotel I found out that I was put in a different suit that is by the so called garden although I booked a lake view and confirmed this in writing before my arrival. The staff are helpful in getting me the right suite at the end. We also had a paid lake excursion, which lacked any level of fun and interaction. It was like a rushed affair more than a sunset cruise. This hotel defiantly needs to revisit its definition of luxury service.

Didnt match the expectations, heard leela is much better.

Deluxe suite was a bummer! It doesnt match the pictures at all, the size was so disappointing! No evening activities so had to look for other options for entertainment. Didnt feel like it was worth the money.

Room size for deluxe suite was very disappointing. Had to spent time in exploring other options. The water and thw bath tub was very dirty.

On cooler nights there was not heat aside from a portable plug-in radiator. Nothing troubling, as everything else was exceptional.

Amazing hotel with the most impeccable approach to its visitors.

What an amazing hotel in the very best location The restaurant served the most amazing food and the hotel itself has such a wonderful charm. The room was one of the best I have stayed in. What really stood out though was the staff. Each and every one of them were polite, attentive (without being intrusive) and extremely knowledgable on the history of the hotel and local areas. Thank you for the most fabulous stay. Already looking to visit again.

The location of this hotel is amazing. It is within the City Palace Walls and very convenient to see the City Palace. The views of Lake Pichola are probably the best of any of the hotels. The staff are amazingly helpful, friendly and attentive.

Parts of the property are run down, dated or need refurbishing. Glass throughout the property needed cleaning. Some areas such as lifts and doors were really shabby and dirty. The room and dining areas were very clean. We could hear the bathroom activities of the next room. The balcony of our suite had an amazing view but was shared with another guest room and they were out there at all times of early morning and night on their very loud phone calls which disturbed our sleep.
