Beautiful hotel but lacks personal touches. Disappointed overall.

Impressive building. Nice rooms.

Snooty service, some unfriendly staff. Not as good as other hotels for the money. We stayed at Ramburgh after staying 2 nights in Jodhpur at the Umaid Bhagwan, also a Taj property. However we just didnt have the same feeling about it. The hotel is beautiful and staff were efficient but aloof and some were unfriendly. The hotel is very busy and lacks the intimacy and personalised service of other Taj hotels. Our next two nights were at the Oberoi which was welcoming, friendly and still a beautiful hotel. The Umaid Bhawan has service on another level and its a shame that the Rambagh palace is not on the same level.

Fantastic and very warm staff that took great care to make us feel at home.

The breakfast was served in the fantastic Rajput Room a wonderful setting with a la cart menu or a buffet. Good selection of fruits and breads. Their croissants were fantastic especially the whole wheat. I like to mention the staff that made my stay extra special. At the restaurant, Om and his team Sarjeet, Jai, Shubham and Arimant. And the welcoming team at the front desk who I thank Anjali for her assistance and Sneha.

The availability of lactose free options was limited.

Magnificent!

This is an amazing palace with a rich history. Staying here is like becoming royalty. much attention is given to staff training and continuity. Everyone is lovely, the room delightful and wonderful food and beverage.
