Tanah Gajah is a gem, even by Balinese standards. Designed by an artist for himself, you feel as if you are living within a royal garden. Visual feasts of sculptures, landscaping, nature(white and black swans, white pigeons, egrets landing in the rice paddies). The villas are fantastic, the food is great, the staff are delightful and attend to your every need. Complimentary alcohol, fruit, afternoon tea with snacks, and cocktails, and daily yoga are included. Nothing is spared to make your stay enjoyable. The only downside each morning is having to make the difficult decision whether to take an excursion, or stay for another tranquil day of pure luxury.

The pool villa was beautiful , quiet and private. Very relaxed atmosphere.
The gardens are stunning and full of beautiful sculptures.
The food underwhelming. Limited options on the menu.

A wonderful three days at Tanah Gajah. Very relaxing. Friendly staff made you feel special.
Location and grounds were amazing. The pool in particular was gorgeous.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The activities like the rice paddy walk were a highlight. Our guide from the hotel was wonderful taking us through the rice fields and the local village.
The morning Yoga sessions a great start to the day.
Loved the Breakfasts'.....knockout smoothies!
Room service drinks or food a bit light on.

Truly stunning.
This place was closer to a five-star TEMPLE than a hotel. The grounds and facilities are so immaculately kept to the point it feels like hallowed ground. The staff were absolutely wonderful. They truly go the extra mile and will make you feel like royalty. I am totally coming back here and bringing my wife.
Don't get me wrong: the food was great and delicately prepared. They're professionals, no doubt...but I was needing more spice, especially in the Balinese dishes. I feel like the food was a little too catered to "Western" taste buds, and I was going for more of that robust, spicy flavor (especially in the nasi goreng).

We as a couple stayed at several luxury resorts in our extended Bali trip and our favorite is Tanah Gajah. Their hospitality is the best. All the staffs are personal, warm and the happiest we've seen compared to other resorts. We are amazed that the management team find time to greet and chat with guests while staying on top of everything. The grounds is beautiful, authentic with traditional Balinese touch. Every corner seems to be well-maintained and cared with love.
The villa comes with its private pool, outdoor courtyard, complimentary liquors, complimentary daily laundry service, daily fresh fruit basket. Each request like extra towels, drinks, food, spa availability/booking, tour seamlessly delivered within minutes.
Some of our favorite moments at Tanah Gajah: pleasant walk within the beautiful and massive grounds (the property is huge); quietness overlook the peaceful rice paddy field while having breakfast; Balinese massages by Manik; morning yoga with Dewq; amazing dinner customized by head chef Dean on our preference; rice paddy walk with Agna;
They also provide complimentary private rides to/from uBud town but we enjoyed our time at the resort so much we didn't make it to the town during the stay lol

Private and tranquil resort with amazing views and AMAZING Service
Breakfast was lovely with a decent selection of food - very picturesque especially with the Hot air baloon! The Staff were amazingly friendly and assisted with everything we needed. The Private pool and outdoor bath were highlights.
Hotel is very well maintained but is showing some signs of aging, especially in the electricals and overall feel.
