    Staff very helpful and friendly. Ground floor room, a bit tired, & lighting was awful & dull. The room was unbelievable hot despite turning radiators off & opening windows. The bed was very comfy & pillows excellent. But only staying 1 night it was fine. Food for our evening meal was excellent, large portions & not expensive.

    Very good sized rooms, and I heard no road noise, despite the closeness of the A1 I slept very well. Good hot and powerful shower. I would stay here again for sure. Very friendly staff.

    Well positioned hotel opposite the Angel of the North, Very nice and polite staff , quality dining.
    Breakfast was fine and dinners were very good. The room was comfortable.
    Only one electrical socket seemingly available. There was no bedside lamps available either.
