    Fabulous staff, breakfast fresh and good quality, staff very friendly and helpful. We took our dog and the hotel was well set up for that, including a great 'dog package' in the room inc blanketm bowls and even a cleaning mitt for muddy paws. Great walks opposite towards Rufus Stone, with a local pub in the middle of the forest.
    Only downside was windows a little draughty, letting some noise in roadside. Bed seemed comfortable at first, but mattress sagged a little and probably needs replacing.

    Warm and friendly gem of a hotel, great food especially the breakfasts. Very accommodating of dogs.
    The staff were so personable and friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable especially as we had a nervous dog. Katie, Tom, Tao and Phillip were great, as were the other bar staff but we cant remember their names. Lovely team who were short staffed at times but were always friendly while working so hard to make everyone feel so comfortable.

    Fabulous find I expect well return
    Fabulous location, lovely and clean, easy to find, lots of parking, well maintained rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff - I could go on
    Everything was great - the only slight downside for us was that the beds were a bit soft, not really a problem for a 1 night stay, may influence a decision to stay longer- but this is just a personal preference

    Had a great weekend away and will definitely visit again
    The team made us very welcome, they were very helpful and even helped us decide what walk to do on the Saturday. The rooms were large and very clean. A monster tv helped when we got back to our room for a Christmas film.
    The breakfast ran out of orange juice both mornings although the full English breakfast was amazing. We came down for a drink at 7pm in the bar but every table was reserved so the bartender suggested we take our drinks to the reception area! We declined and took our drinks to our room. Slightly disappointed.

    Everything! Such a beautiful room, comfy bed and staff were lovely too. Food speechless as it was so so good
    Nothing we would change other than we should have turned the radiator down sooner as it was very warm, but that was no fault of the hotel
