Lovely view and convenient location to Mt. Batur but getting to the hotel is problematic

The location and view was spectacular. Rooms were clean and spacious, bathrooms were well appointed. Only 20' from the base if you want to climb Mt. Batur which is why we stayed there.

It was extremely hard to locate and get to the place. Location is a major downside. Road access is not good - a 4 wheel may be needed for comfort. Also we had noisy neighbours despite it being nearly 11- once we asked them politely it was better.

The room was OK, nothing particularly nice in that place apart from the view.

You've got no privacy, the room walls are windows and other guests need to walk in front of your house to get to theirs. The pool was incredibly small compared to the photos. The food options are very limited and they try to scam you if you need transportation (250k to go down the hill and come back - like if you need to go out for diner) The bathroom smells very bad. Avoid this place

A peaceful and relaxing stay with a stunning view

The location and the view are absolutely stunning. The room design with a greek touch is very nice Once you are up there( its quite a road to get there) its very peaceful, even the flies ( quite a lot due to rainy season) could not interfere the beautiful atmosphere. Also an ideal location if you plan to hike Mont Batur, which I would recommend I loved it The staff very nice a d helpful and only a WhatsApp away.

Its a challenge to enjoy whats on offer.

The property itself is quite nice, perched on a hill over looking the lake and mountain the staff are friendly and the rooms are nice BUT

The road, if you can call it that, getting to the property is really bad, we had to keep apologising to the driver, pot holes everywhere. No transport options at the property, so then you feel trapped as it is quite far from anywhere. They say they have a restaurant, but its a kitchen and you have to eat in your room, but theres no furniture to eat off. The menu has 5 things on it and they are all pretty average, the propertys food photos are completely misleading. There were regular power black outs, which only lasted a few minutes each time, and there wasnt any hot water, and only two towels for showering and pool.

A slice of heaven

The view from the room is stunning, one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen for a really great price. The rooms are beautiful with a Greek kinda style, comfy beds and cute toilets. The location is right at the bottom of Mount Batur which is great if you are doing the hike cos you start the walk from the villa. You can organise the hike in the Villa, super easy. The staff are so lovely and helpful. You can order food by WhatsApp and they'll bring it to the room. The food is local Balinese food which was great, simple but yummy. The pool has an amazing view and it's cool which is great cos during the day is quite hot. In terms of the flies, I read a lot of ppl talking about them and the first day was quite full of flies but the other two days they kinda disappeared, so it hasn't been that bad at all. The owners were so lovely and helpful! They took me to the hospital in Ubud, waited for me for an hour and drove me back to the Villa after a wild monkey bit me while doing the Batur Hike (not something that often happens so don't worry, just don't get too close and don't feed them). I extended my stay for another night and it was lovely. Make sure you bring some hiking/running shoes for the Batur Hike and maybe some snacks with you as the Villa is far from shops in case you want to snack during the day/night.

Wonderful stay

Amazing views overlooking the lake. Very easy access to the Batur trek: you start right from the hotel.

The breakfast is served in the room. A table would be nice in the deck.
