I expected the hotel to be more customer centric.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food quality is good and has options for vegetarians. The swimming pool is maintained well.

Bathroom design is faulty, water after use from the toilet foset flows out towards the bathroom door due to improper floor gradient. Wash basin tap was not working properly. Water from the tap would stop once the tap handle was turned towards right to use cold water. I had to use the bathroom shower to even brush my teeth as I was getting only very hot water from the wash basin More than the above issues, what I disliked most at this property was the staff service. I had to call the front desk repeatedly to attend to my requests. I had informed the front desk about the issues in the bathroom but they were not bothered to get it fixed. Many times the front desk didn't even answer my calls. When I went personally to the front desk and put forth my grievance, they seemed least bothered about it. They didn't even, for courtesy sake, apologize for the inconvenience caused to me, let alone fixing the issues. I also felt that their treatment to their customers is biased.

Overhyped and overpriced

Breakfast was pretty good. We bought mangoes at the market - no mangoes at bfast?? Location was further from the lake than we were hoping but we made it work.

Rooftop terrace was gross. No swim up bar. Room carpet was moist. Room service sometimes slow. New Years Eve up charge not worth the price. Food quality and entertainment was lame. Purpose of event seemed to be to sell drinks. Didnt even get a half glass of cheap champagne to toast New Years:(

Beautiful hotel but surplus for foreigners leaves bad taste.

Beautiful property. Nice large rooms well equipped and excellent service from the staff.

Very dissatisfied with compulsory $75USD per guest surplus added for New Years Eve Galla. We are a family of 4 and that added $300 USD to our one night stay! In the room they advertised NYE for 7900 rupees = $24 USD. So I think the $75 charge added after reserving on booking.COM was for foreigners. And that is not right. For this alone I would not recommend staying here. This is unfortunate as it is beautiful hotel.

Nice pool area, good hotel but not sure it is worth that much,

Lovely pool and view of greenery, the restaurant had amazing food, the lunch and dinner (more than the breakfast) but the Al la carte options enjoyed. The gym is good size and equipment.

The mini bar had no prices I asked cleaner if its included, assuming as so expensive compared to other rooms in kandy, it was and he said yes so i was glad I checked, and had few items . I then get told at checkout there are costs but they couldnt explain why no prices in room. The staff were helpful with organising my drivers, but this bit strange experience. The rooms are more expensive than kandy options and I expected the hotel to be bit more impressive, theres lots of staff around but hotel feels a bit dated, the pool area should have nice bar or something, instead of having to sit in restaurant. The room was weird long shape, and I was told monkeys are on balconies and coming into rooms so I didnt want to have my door open, I realise this maybe isnt hotels fault but good for you to know if visiting this place, its also monkeys homes.

Very good

The family room provided to us was large in size and have an excellent view. The breakfast menu is wide spread with relatively limited options to VEGis like us but we enjoyed the food. The overall service was excellent and AJIT from resto and room boys SAMEERA and DILSHAN were excellent in service. we are very impressed with these 3 guys.

The bathroom shower was not working properly and inspite of every day reminder to reception nothing happened. The WIFI many times didnt work properly.

Worth spending time to find a different location for your stay

Location is great

Staff is non-cooperative, the deluxe room empty and badly planned, breakfast is very poor for this level of hotel. It looks like the owner invested a lot into the property and is trying to charge maximum to pay-off the investment.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Good AC. Hotel facilities are good and service by bell boys was excellent. Breakfast buffer selection is very varied.

Reception staff a little abrupt at times.
