    The outside was nice and the staff were quick to service
    I put in for a crib that they said they had and when I showed up to the room the put a single bed in the living room I have an 11 month old baby it showed on the reservation that she was under the age of one I am happy I brought a travel Crib in case she didn't like the one they provided. Unfortunately she was uncomfortable sleeping in the travel crib which ended up with me laying on the floor with her all night and then realizing that the floor was absolutely covered in animal hair and other people's hair like an extensive amount of it I have my husband take a lint roller to the floor and it was covered in hair my allergies were acting up the entire time. I called room service and told them that I wanted new sheets and new blankets because all of that was now covered in this hair and they were no longer usable and that I wanted the floors vacuum because I don't think that they have been vacuumed for a while they sent someone to service the room he seemed very rushed. Unfortunately same story for the wine glasses that were in the room there was somebody's left over wine still staining the glass and you could see the Dust on the desk and on top of the bed frames so for the amount that this cost us to stay there for a week I feel the rooms should have actually been clean.

    The room was so spacious and comfortable. We had an amazing dinner nearby after a full day of hiking. Enjoyed relaxing in our room.

    Bed was amazing and rooms very spacious
    If you book a standard room you're patio will open to the parking lot. "Mountain view" is golf front Called front desk to ask for a late checkout (1pm instead of 12) Clerk did not tell me it would be an extra $25 plus fees ($32) Left several messages and they refuse to call me back or refund my late checkout fee

    We enjoyed a much needed relaxing atmosphere with awesome golf, food, staff and weather.
    The staff was amazing. Obviously, we are not members, but we were treated like we were! They were welcoming, courteous and very helpful.
    Suggestion. There was a golf outing and event the weekend of our stay. There was absolutely no place for us to park when we returned to the lodge. I would suggest that at least a small area within reasonable walking distance of the rooms be reserved for guests staying overnight. I am not sure what we would done if either of us had physical restrictions. We wouldn't have been able to get to our room for 1/2 day.

    Great location, intimate and beautiful setting, friendly staff, easy parking.
    Functional but a little dated. Should consider adding more plugs by the end tables. Didn't know there was going to be a fundraiser tournament outside my window on Saturday.

    An ideal place to recharge
    Beautiful hotel and grounds. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and really quiet. The bathroom had a perfect layout with a large shower. Outside, the 2 pools are ideal for both relaxing and actual swimming.
    The room was absolutely perfect but if pressed, here is a minor comment to make the experience even better for next time. The large beautiful windows may need additional attention to fully take in the magnificent views of the hills.

    Heavenly Stay
    Unlike the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel this property actually honoured our booking and everything was top class. Dont confuse The Lodge at Ventana Canyon with the Lodge at Cliff Castle Casino which we had a look inside when the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel failed to honour our confirmed booking (October 20th)with them and placed us in their lodge which was nothing more than a rundown motel. Having driven for 5 hours to get there we went back to reception and told them we wouldnt stay in such a substandard property. We were promised a refund which we still havent got and they and booking.com have ignored my daily emails saying we are glad you got in touch and please give us the info we have given them on a daily basis asking us to send to emails which are no longer monitored and are referred back to the beginning of the process!! It seems our only option now is to take a case through the European Small Claims Court, Frustrated but never giving up, Stephen Lyons
