    The Lygon Arms is a gem of a hotel with separate cozy rooms and a bar with excellent service. Guests enjoyed the delicious food, especially the Butter Chicken at The Grill restaurant. The spa was rel (Read More)axing and the staff were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local activities. The hotel is well-decorated, with cozy rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. Dogs are welcomed and treated to free treats. Highly recommended for a luxurious stay in a beautiful location.

    The hotel is lovely and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. In my opinion it is however slightly over priced.
    The spa is well equipped and very clean. We both had a facial and which were amazing. The property is absolutely beautiful and picturesque.
    Some parts of the hotel needed renovation. Our bathroom was lovely but the bedroom left a little to be desired for the price we paid. I expected more for my money.

    Wonderful historic place let down but food mainly and service to a point.
    Lovely sense of history and great room. Lots of cosy places to sit and chill.
    The food in the Grill was very poor. Not even good pub standard for us. Such a shame for such beautiful and historic room to be let down by such below par food. Unimaginative menu and poorly executed. Some amazing food served over the years in this room , but certainly not now. Bring back Martin blunos!!! The shabby , water damaged menu on show outside the grill street door was in hindsight a sign of things to come....

    nice room nice spa nice restaurant
    black mould on shower door not acceptable at 380 ppn over stretched staff which led to bickering in public food ok not great butter chicken curry tasted like spicy paper

    We have stayed at the Lygon before and it is a beautiful property with amazing public areas/bar/restaurants.
    We stayed in an annex classic room and, it wasnt good value compared to other rooms we have stayed in both at lygon and other places in Broadway. The annex is dated and the room wasnt up to standard expected sadly. There is obviously some kind of leak on guttering as we had water dripping on windowsills all night. To make it worse the shower drips and we couldnt stop this which was really annoying. I tried to put tv on in background to mask the noises but only 2 channels worked , others constantly glitched.

    The radiator in the bedroom was always on so the room got far too hot. Was not able to turn the heat down. And couldnt open the windows. Whereas the radiator in the bathroom wouldnt turn on so it was freezing! Told reception as we left but they didnt indicate theyd look into it

    Expectations far exceeded reality this time.
    Location perfect. Old part of hotel absolutely fabulous. I love all the nooks and crannies for privacy to chat and drink. Fireplaces. The history of it is what drew us in the first place. Have traveled and stayed a number of times. We usually stay in the main hotel.
    Very disappointed with the room this time. No 72. The hotel has become overpriced in recent years. Nevertheless, we chose it as a venue to meet up with friends from London. We chose the cheaper rate. Though we have stayed in many luxury hotels and can make comparisons. 300 is a lot of money for what we were given at Lygon. The room is a good size. It was clean. But it is very dark no matter time of day. The block it is in is unattractive and definitely not Lygon. The outlook from the window was over a block of flats? With an untidy garden section. There is a noisy generator that sounds like an articulated lorry engine that comes on and off all through the night and vibrates the room. This was the worst. For 300 a night, this is not acceptable. And particularly for a hotel that advertises as luxury. It totally lets Lygon down.
