    Door jamb damaged security of room concerning. Walk in to the room and stumbled on the unexpected step down from the door area , not great especially in a darkened room.

    Enjoyed my stay as met up with old school friends but felt the evening meal was not upto expectation
    Breakfast was good and room clean and as there were quite a few of us we had a designated room to have dinner in which was good
    Check in slow and evening meal passable but salmon overcooked and choice poor and dated

    A Pleasant stay in an ideal location.
    Breakfast was good, The rooms were good, but could be upgraded. Dinner was good, but because there was a huge party the wait was too long. To their credit they waived the cost of the dessert and a round of drinks,

    Will definitely be staying again in the summer so we can explore more around the area.
    Bedrooms very spacious.
    Was cold but we managed to turn heating up as the heater was under a window.

    Charming hotel. Nice facilities and great value
    We love stopping in hotels for little weekend breaks and always seek out hotels that have good leisure facilities. We love a sauna and a pool !! The hotel is easy to get to and looked good from the outside. Reception was clean and professional and we were directed to our room (There was one small snippet of info missing at this point... see below) Room was good. It's October so chilly when we got in but the heating came on after a fiddle with the thermostat. Nice comfy bed, Tea and Coffee facilities and a clean functional bathroom with shower. Pool is midi-sized. there's a gym and a sauna. restaurant had a limited menu but the meal was good. Winelist a bit on the pricey side 30 for a Shiraz you can buy in Magestic for 7 but thats Hotels and restaurants for you ;-) The restaurant manager was really attentive, friendly and accomadating. Breakfast ticked all the boxes with a fruit and cereal bar and a cooked breakfast made to your requests. Tea coffee juices and toast... all good Overall a nice stay and definitely good value. We would definitely come again

    If it wasn't for the nice lad on the desk at the pool and leisure area this would have been a big gripe. After checking in we went down to the pool only to be told that the pool was about to close due to staff shortage. Nobody told us when we checked in about this. The chap in the leisure centre agreed to stay on another hour so we could at least get an hour in. Had they told us when we checked in we would have gone straight to the pool. Just simple communication.

    2nd breakfast was awful. Room had no heating on when we got there so cold. Poor/no lighting in bathroom. No teabags left for 2nd morning

    A pleasant hotel, nice restaurant and staff
    Evening food in the restaurant was nice, I had steak & ale pie and my wife the chicken. For a hotel the price was good value with drinks reasonable too. Staff were friendly and the place had a family run feel. Car park had lots of space.
    No soap in the bathroom, I had to use shower gel. Room was clean but could probably do with a slight makeover to bring in line with the communal areas. No lift to the first floor, for me not an issue but maybe for older guests.
