    Wonderful hotel right on the beach
    Great Breakfast buffet. Great selection and excellent service. Overall very friendly staff who go out of their way to make accommodate requests. Room was lovely. The pools in the hotel were great. Beautiful garden. Lovely view of the ocean. Excellent location near Umhlanga village. Highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Durban.

    Everybody from housekeeping to management go out of their to make everyones stay even better.
    The breakfast is one of my favourite things there.The mimosa always flowing.The quality of food is amazing and the staff making sure all guests needs are catered for!

    Our favorite place to stay thanks to the AMAZING staff!
    Thank you to the AMAZING staff for always going above and beyond to make our stay and visit memorable. I had a little French Bulldog puppy with us and they were absolutely wonderful in accommodating us.
    There is nothing not to love The Oyster Box.

    Its lovely and overall a good experience
    Its amazing as it should be as an institution but is it the best hotel I stayed at in South Africa? Not sure The sea views and service is spectacular and makes up for the bit of dated interior.
    Needs a bit of an investment to make it spectaculor again. Its slightly like visiting your wealthy granny with old money.

    Recommend this for ever South African, they make special effort for important celebrations.
    Dinner and breakfast were amazing, every buffet hit the spot and every meal was made with exceptional ingredients. Meals we good from the beginning to the end.
    The hotel looks like it needs a paint job. Good look as pristine on the outside as it is in the inside.
