    The style and layout of hotel The decorations for Christmas/ new year were lovely I liked the jigsaw in reception The pool the restaurant and the staff
    The room was too hot and stuffy. Couldn't control the heating . The window opened but it was noisy outside. I asked for hot chocolate sachets for my room as I don't drink tea or coffee. - 4 times . I was sent to bar and back to reception . Eventually a staff member said they eould bring them to my room but they didn't arrive.

    An amazing and impressive building and grounds in a grand Buxton setting
    A family room with a kingsize bed for my son with singles for my two grandchildren. A room likewise with en suite and double bed for me. An impressive capture of spa hotel accommodation in Victorian England Christmas Tree and a great festive spirit in the hotel with decorations. Clean warm with very polite and helpful staff Good parking facilities
    Maybe rather slow in registration on arrival

    Great value for money. Good sized family room, clean, kids loved the pool, staff were all friendly and helpful. Location perfect for a wander around buxton. Perfect last minute night away.
    Really can't complain about anything.

    Great location, lovely old hotel, very grand. Lovely staff, decent room.
    It's a very grand, lovely building, but it does need updating slightly. Needs a bit of maintenance done. Definitely needs an upgraded lift.

    Amazing value and experience, definite plans to return.
    The lobby was spacious with lots of different cosy nooks and a jigsaw puzzle at the entrance. The Christmas decorations were delightful. Our reception was very cheerful and the attendant was welcoming. Can't beat the price and quality for a last-minute get-away.
    The temperature in the room was a bit warm and we couldn't significantly turn down the radiators. Instead, we opened the windows, which felt energy-inefficient.
