Fantastic hotel in a great location in Southsea. My favourite place to stay when I'm here.
Not my first stay here but I always enjoy it. It's a beautiful building, in a great location. The staff are always friendly, helpful and welcoming, the rooms well insulated and the beds comfortable.
I know it was a single room, but it was a bit of a shame that when lying in bed I had a first-class view of my toilet!

Great introduction to Portsmouth
The area was located where there are several good restaurants. We went to three in the area and each of them was very good including the service. We hade great areas to walk and felt safe in general. (In ANY area of a city, it needs to be said, prudence is always needed)
The beds are hard and the pillows did feel like rocks. I purchased two pillows for comfort.

Very friendly staff and eager to help. Nice looking building for the outside and foyer.
Small room, uncomfortable bed, poor shower and basin fittings. Soaps were replaced every day unnecessarily. Heating comes on at 5am which sounded like a waterfall in the bedroom.

Pretty hotel and location, but a tad lacking / not so comfortable
Staff were super friendly and helpful. And it's a pretty hotel.
It may have been impacted by it being boxing day.. so reduced staff / service, bit there wasnt much going on, so we ended up heading to bed early.
Plus, unfortunately, the bed was really uncomfortable, and the room rather warm. We got up and left early as a result..

The lounge, dining room and bar were well decorated and comfortable. The first room that was given to us was very dark and sad, but when asked it was changed to a very bright and comfortable room. The food and drinks were good. The weather was miserable so we really appreciated the comfort of the hotel.

Sheets etc clean but v stale smell in the room. Shower was really tricky to fix in place and leaked
