Excellent hotel!
The hotel is beautiful, the amenities are great. The staff were great and the location is also great. The view from our room was also beautiful.
The beds were hard. We both left with very sore hips and backs (were in our 30s so this is not common for us), and comparing it to Crown Hotels (which is the closest comparable hotel), the beds were a let down at the Ritz. Crown beds feel luxurious and they are feather soft and comfortable which is what you expect at a luxury hotel.
Songbird was closed for service outside when we went. We went to the bar to watch the sunset, so having outside service closed wasn't what we were expecting in the middle of summer.

Very good staff I have stayed before so this time was because we had good experiences previously.
The service for tea and coffee was extraordinarily slow most mornings we had nearly finished breakfast before our drinks turned up, they need to sharpen this up a bit, also at the bars service is a bit on the slow side, having said that it was over the Christmas period and they were busy. But that wasnt an excuse really or they should have stayed it would be so.
Use of cleaning chemicals that are effective against Coronavirus, Guest accommodation is disinfected between stays, Linens, towels and laundry washed in accordance with local authority guidelines, Property is cleaned by professional cleaning companies, Guests have the option to cancel any cleaning services for their accommodation during their stay.
