Very good

Nice place to stay, but would want a quiet room in furture

Quickly re-loacted to another room after an issue with the plumbing. Decor is good quality. Large comfortable bed.

The front entrance is in a pedestrianised street with no vehicle access during normal arrival times. You really need to have a What3Words code for the rear car park access ///deeper.unable.update as the post code given to us by the reception is the same as the front, making it very difficult to locate. Insufficient power points - had to unplug the radio to boil kettle. Lighting in room /bathroom not good enough for applying make up Room overlooks the main pedestrianised street which was noisy all night long. In the restaurant 3 of 5 mains were not available - and of course they were the ones we really wanted.

Lovely big room with the nice added touch of two dog beds for our fury companions. Room was very clean and the tea//coffee etc was topped up everyday. The hotel is in a very convenient location in the centre of the main high street. We have used the hotel many times over the years as it is dog friendly.

Breakfast was hit and miss as were the staff unfortunately to say. Missing items that were not in stock for the breakfast and some days cooked better than others. The staff, well personally Id say some need a course on customer service whilst others were lovely as they always have been. One thing to check if we needed the extra chair before taking it away without asking us as we were waiting for guests to join us! It was briskly taken away we found this to be quiet rude. We simply felt there was no consistency with the staff very hot and cold. It has made us think twice about booking in the future which is a shame as its the perfect location for us with our families living in stafford.

Superb

Really nice pub, but with spacious rroms and well appointed

Very charaterful old building, but also very classy and well appointed. Didn't get to eat there in the evening but the breakfast was excellent. I booked last minute needing to go to Stafford for a meeting and left thinking I'd go back there for a weekend and enjoy it properly.
