The Waterloo Hotel is a lovely place to stay with clean and comfortable rooms, a spotless bathroom, and a warm and inviting bar area with a good selection of drinks. The restaurant serves hot and tas (Read More)ty breakfasts, and the staff are outstanding. The location is great, close to the town centre. The hotel is dog-friendly with rooms for those who bring their pets. The carvery is superb with excellent service and good value for money.

Very nice, cosy and spacious

Cosy and warm, in a good location only a shortwalk to the shops etc..

There was no proper light switch to the bathroom (automated light) so when having a shower the light switch would turn off after so long

I stayed here 30 years ago, there is no comparison now, the standards are world class , For years this area has traded on its location, poor decor, standards of service etc, no more, I have to thank the internet,and the hotels investment

This great hotel needs to look at it's character IE how a stranger would visualise it, before staying Too much petty rules,, If I I am paying to stay,,,why say I cannot use the pool if it's too busy?? Ok the locals are your bread and butter, It is offensive to visit and pay, and you may not get full access to the pool ?

Nice friendly hotel in a beautiful area

Stayed in a lodge room. Very cosy and warm and felt more private than a hotel room. Location was easy walking distance to local area which is beautiful. Went to local pub The Pont-y-Pair which was really welcoming and friendly, great food and much more reasonably priced than other places. Breakfast was OK. Pool area was nice but busy. All staff were great, really friendly and helpful.

It wasnt clear when booking that you only get free access to the Pool, sauna etc if you book room with breakfast. If booking room only you get it half price which is 7.50 p/p each time you use it. We had to upgrade to b&b

Always very comfortable, able to bring our dog and made to feel very welcome by friendly staff.

Room very clean, comfortable, warm. Tea and coffee facilities great in room. Staff in reception very friendly and efficient. Brilliant that they take dogs and the dog friendly rooms are very nice. Have stayed in other dog friendly hotels and sometimes feel they put you in the worst rooms.

Have been visiting this hotel for several years now and have seen the breakfast choice lessen on the continental side. Little bit disappointing with lack of choice on pastries and fruit. Maybe the addition of a mini fridge in the rooms would be good. Our bathroom showing signs of ageing, rust marks around taps and shower not very hot or powerful, could do with up dating. However still a great hotel and will keep coming back.
