You get what you pay for

Fairly close proximity to airport. Good sized room with kettle, fridge, desk, large windows and seating area. Bed was very comfortable, the best bit of our stay. Good strong hot shower. Buffet was enjoyable. Friendly and helpful luggage porters and doorman. Rooftop pool with view. Prompt service when we had trouble getting TV to work. Affordable price for a 5 star. Welcome drinks a nice touch, but no glasses.

Treated ourselves to a 5 star for our last night in India. It seemed a good deal but now wish we'd paid more to stay elsewhere for a proper 5 star experience. Moody and unfriendly restaurant staff member spoiled an otherwise pleasant meal. Stain on bathroom ceiling due to inadequate ventilation, no fan. Cracked sink. One bathrobe and slippers set for 2 people. Room very cold on lowest aircon setting, all or nothing. Bit damp due to condensation. No towels available at the pool so we used the ones from our room. Asked for new ones 3 times, which never arrived. Fairly new so-called 5 star hotel but already seemed outdated.

Its a good location although we only stayed one night. Main plus point was the staff with a particular shout out to Srinivas! He helped with arranging our transport the next to Pondicherry. Thanks Srini!

The hotel is not a 5 star as stated on Booking.com. It has seen better days and requires investment to modernise it. Our room was a little shabby including the bathroom which was a disappointment.
