    Great location for exploring Thomas Hardy country. Loved seeing wildlife from the balcony including an otter in the river . Nicola was a great host and the breakfasts were delicious

    Absolute Dorset gem!
    This was meant to be a special anniversary weekend treat and it certainly was! The property was gorgeous, the location by the river was stunning and the owner was an absolute star. We were looked after in the most thoughtful way and the whole experience was memorable and wonderful. The room had lovely luxurious touches, the breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect for exploring Dorsets nature spots by car, such as RSPB reserves, coastal walks etc. We couldnt have asked for anything more and I even felt emotional when we had to go home. We will certainly be back!

    A relaxing time thanks to the hosts wonderful welcome.
    So love everything about the place. The welcome the friendliness. And room with a balcony from which we could enjoy the superb views. The quality of room was exceptional in all ways. Breakfast was excellent and the quality of service was on par with what I would expect of a luxury hotel. We were so relaxed.

    Waterfield House - set in a beautiful oasis of calm
    The property is in a beautiful location and the landscape from my room was stunning. Nicky is a lovely lady; I really enjoyed her company as I was travelling on my own. Breakfast was perfect - beautifully cooked scrambled eggs!

    Superb property and hosts with easy access to be all local areas and attractions.
    We loved the decor of the property, the location which was tranquil and stunning, and the facilities that were excellent. Nikki and Fraser were great hosts and always willing to offer local knowledge for trips out. The bedroom was comfortable, with beautiful views of the countryside and river. There was a private balcony to sit and enjoy those views. The bathroom had a beautiful free standing bath, twin sinks and walk in rain shower which was really nice. Nikki cooks a lovely English breakfast and was very accommodative with other food.
