Guests praise the friendly and helpful host, with one calling it the coolest place near Galway. Safety is noted as a non-issue, and the Wi-Fi is excellent.     It like you are in a irish movie.
    The room was very beatiful. The spot and the nature it like a movie. The house was big and comfortable. The host very helpful.
    The heat opens 3 times a day. It was cold and rainy days and we got cold. The had an electric heater, but you can put it in one room.

    Absolutely would stay again
    It was quite and peaceful. They generously had some bread, jelly, donuts and chips awaiting us on arrival. And the cottage including flowers was gorgeous. The Tesco is in a great location for shopping. Very short drive to the main road then around the corner. Very close. Oh, and they had the heater on when we arrived, which was really nice! We really had a great stay here!
    Just be aware that its about a 25 -30 minute drive into Galway. Also a small comment but for some reason some of the floor seemed slightly sticky .

    Lovely place to stay, perfect location, friendly host with good communication& well equipped house.
    Lots of nice finishing touches when you're travelling. Lovely basket of food for use.

    Beautiful Irish cottage!
    Wow - what a great place to stay for three nights just outside of Galway! The owner, Jacqueline, could not have been anymore accommodating. She was so nice and even provided us w/ an extra gift for my 50th birthday. We arrived to a beautiful Irish oasis with a wonderful view and a welcome basket. Our family enjoyed the short walk to the sea and the amazing seascapes. I cant say enough about this cottage, its charm and the owners hospitality. If you are looking for a traditional Ireland experience then this is the place for you!

    WE BOOKED FOR TWO NIGHTS STAY , MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. ON TUESDAY WE INQUIRED IF THE PROPERTY WAS AVAILABLE FOR WEDENSDAY WE WERE TOLD IT WAS AT A COST OF 200 cash. We decided to stay the extra night and on wedensday morning paid 200 cash. Later that morning we got a call back to work. I informed the landlady we had to leave. She insisted on keeping 100 . We were totaly riped off We will not be back to Spiddal ever again.

    The location is away from town but close to small villages. It is wonderfully wild coastline. The cottage had great character, was very well equipped, there was lovely basket of food waiting for us, and the hosts could not have been more helpful.

    Hope to return some day.
    Spacious, well provisioned, particularly the kitchen. Owner left a welcome basket with treats and food. The house was decorated with lots of lovely pictures, Knick-knacks and plants and it felt very homey. Pet-friendly,with a little garden and a beach just down the hill. Owner very accommodating and friendly.
