The village was damaged and abandoned during the Jabal Akhdar Wars, and the only thing which remains is the remnants of the village. This ruined village becomes mesmerizing on the backdrop of the Al Hajar Mountains. Though the village is surrounded by dust, the visitors get ample opportunities to click their memories. Its remnants compel the visitors to explore the ruined memories of the Tanuf villagers. Tanuf was once a famous village in the Jebel Akhdar mountain range, and was lost only recently.
