Day 1 Arrival in Kilimanjaro
  • Your adventure begins as you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
  • Get transferred from the airport to your chosen hotel in Moshi.
  • Upon arrival at the hotel, take part in a comprehensive pre-climb briefing.
  • As the day comes to a close, have dinner at the hotel and enjoy a restful overnight stay in Moshi.
  • Start the day with breakfast at your Moshi hotel.
  • Take a five-hour drive to Londorossi Gate, which is at 2,100 meters altitude.
  • Complete registration procedures with park authorities at the gate.
  • Drive further up to the trailhead, which stands at 2,360 meters.
  • You will be provided lunch here before you begin trekking to Mti Mkubwa Camp at 2,820 meters.
  • Watch for wildlife like elephants and buffaloes along the way.
  • The trek covers approximately 5.5 kilometers (3 miles) and takes about 3-4 hours.
  • Arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp and enjoy dinner.
  • Rest for the night in the rainforest's peaceful ambiance.
  • Begin the day with breakfast at Mti Mkubwa Camp.
  • The trek continues with an ascent from 2,820 meters to 3,610 meters.

  • As the afternoon progresses, you'll arrive at Rongai Third Cave, where your campsite awaits.
  • Savor dinner at the campsite and spend overnight.
  • Start your day with breakfast at Rongai Third Cave.
  • Begin your trek, heading towards the Saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi Peak.
  • Continue southwest, climbing to School Hut at 4,800 meters.
  • Enjoy packed lunch along the way.
  • The trek covers about 15 kilometres, lasting about 4-5 hours.
  • Arrive at School Hut, have an early dinner, and prepare for the upcoming summit attempt.
  • Begin your day with an early start at midnight, around 11:30 PM.
  • Enjoy a hot tea and biscuits to prepare for your summit attempt.
  • Embark on a steep climb in the darkness, heading towards Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters).
  • Your first checkpoint is Hans Meyer Cave, where you'll take a short break.
  • Continue the ascent, reaching Gilman’s Point (5,681 meters) after 5-6 hours.
  • Take a moment to savour the approaching dawn and the breathtaking views of Mawenzi Peak.
  • Push on for another 2 hours to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro.
  • Spend a brief but memorable time at the summit, capturing incredible photos of the sunrise and glaciers (weather permitting).
  • Begin the descent, heading back around the crater rim to Stella Point (5,739 meters).
  • Descend further down the scree-covered slopes of Kibo to Barafu Camp (4,680 meters).
  • Take a short break at Barafu Camp before continuing the descent to Millennium Camp where you shall spend the night (3,950 meters).
  • All meals will be had during the trek as packed meals.
  • You'll be trekking for approximately 14-16 hours on this demanding day, so pacing, hydration, and maintaining energy levels are essential.
  • This is the last day of your Kilimanjaro trek.
  • After having breakfast at Millennium Camp (3,950 meters), prepare to descend.
  • You'll hike through the dense montane rainforest from Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters).
  • You will arrive at the gate after around 3-4 hours, covering a distance of 10 kilometres.
  • Here, you'll also be served a satisfying lunch.
  • At the Mweka gate, you'll complete the necessary paperwork with park authorities.
  • You'll also receive your official summit certificate; green for Gilman’s Point and gold for Uhuru Peak.
  • A vehicle will take you back to your chosen hotel in Moshi where you can have dinner and take rest.
  • Your adventure ends and you have various options for your next plans, whether it's starting a safari, heading to Zanzibar, or flying back home.
  • We'll arrange a ride to Kilimanjaro International Airport at your preferred time.
