Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Meet with our local representative upon arrival at the airport in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal, and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. The urban sprawl that makes up modern Kathmandu is, in fact, two cities: Patan and Kathmandu. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore Kathmandu—the political capital and cultural heart of Nepal. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast in the morning, you will be taken to Pashupatinath, the Hindu culture center in Nepal. Here, holy saddhus pray and cremations are carried out on the Bagmati River. We will then continue to Bouddhanath, the holiest shrine for Buddhist culture in Nepal, with its large stupa—this is the place where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage.

Next, you will be taken to Patan. Also known as Lalitpur, the city of beauty is separated from Kathmandu only by the Bagmati River and is the second-largest town in the valley. Lalitpur is distinguished from other cities due to its substantive ancient architectural masterpieces. Patan's central Durbar Square is packed with temples: It’s an architectural focal point with a greater concentration of temples per square meter than in Kathmandu or Bhaktapur.

The Tibetan refugee center also lies within the city, home to most of the valley's Tibetan population. While technically refugees, the Tibetans are some of the wealthiest people in the valley because of the carpet industry they operate. This is the place to shop for those looking to bring home a fine Tibetan carpet.

You will then visit Swayambhunath. The golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with colorful, fluttering prayer flags. It crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city. Swayambhunath is one of the most recognizable symbols of Nepal, and the painted eyes of Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, start your journey towards Nagarkot. Nagarkot is 32 kilometers, about a 1.5-hour drive east of Kathmandu, at an altitude of 2,175 meters. From here, you can see a panoramic view of the major peaks, including Mt. Everest. This place is also famous for viewing sunrises and sunsets.

On the way to Nagarkot, stop at Bhaktapur, 17 kilometers from Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is perhaps the least changed of all the cities in the Kathmandu Valley, with a distinct medieval feel. Pottery and weaving are still traditional industries here. Architectural wonders abound, including the Palace of Fifty-Five Windows, the Golden Gate, and the magnificent five-story pagoda-style Nyatapola Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Wake up early to see the sunrise and the glowing golden Himalayan peaks painted by the sun's rays. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. The tour ends with a lifetime of memories.

Gunasekaran's Trip to Jaipur

4 /5

(Written on 24 Mar, 2025)

What's Good: Sanjay and Jitendar are very accommodate to change in schedule eventhough we have added couple of changes on the road. The helped in arranging guide, who is very helpful and very i (Read More)nformative in explaining, navigating various tourist attractions in Jaipur, especially,The Amber fort, The City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Nahagarh fort. The driver is always show up on time at hotel, where we stayed. Helpful in parking and stopping busy traffic to get down and up. In general, we had pleasant time at Jaiput for the past few days. Thanks to Sanjay!
What's Not Good: First thing that came to mind, they should have offered water in the van whenever we're back from the tourist attractions. With so hot and felling thirsty then we ran out of water. It is really horrible experience. We need to stop on the way to get water to refill. Suggest to have a cooler and provide cool water upon returning. This is we found little odd. Even in Varanasi the tourist operator always ask to drink water and it is always available. This is something they need to consider as an offer to customer for the price we are paying. The selection of on-road restaurants and shopping should be more informative that suits to the customer need. Expect to provide suggestion on good shopping at Jaipur based on customer preference. We need to research and ask them to take that place, like, famous bazaar, mall for food/arts/ethinic clothing. Hope the feedback are based what we observed and if the above were met then our experience would've been exceptional.
