Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati - Transfer to Shillong
  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station.
  • Transfer to Shillong, stopping at Umiam Lake, the largest man-made lake in Northeast India.
  • Arrive in Shillong, check in to your hotel.
  • Spend the evening at leisure or explore and shop at Police Bazar.
  • Romantic floral room décor and honeymoon cake at your hotel in Shillong.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.
  • After breakfast, set out for Cherrapunji, the wettest place on earth.
  • Enroute, visit Elephant Falls and Mawkdok Dympep Valley (optional zip-lining at an extra cost).
  • Upon arrival in Cherrapunji, visit Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth-highest falls in the world), Seven Sister Falls, Arwah Cave, and Mawsmai Cave.
  • Check in to your hotel in Cherrapunji.
  • Candlelight dinner by the riverside at Shnongpdeng.

  • After breakfast, embark on a trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
  • Reach Tyrna Village, the starting point of your trek.

  • Enjoy trekking through the bridge and a swim in the natural pool.
  • Hike back to Tyrna and return to your hotel.

2. Elephant rides are conducted and controlled by the forest department. We cannot confirm the same in advance. The ticket counter for booking opens only in the evening, one day prior to the ride. Only after securing the tickets, we can confirm the ride for you.
