Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 ARRIVE NAIROBI
- On arrival at Nairobi International airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
- The city has its share of well-planned buildings and architecture.
- It is the Garden city of Nairobi. The rest of the city is free at leisure.
- Overnight in Nairobi.
Day 2 SAMBURU
- After breakfast drive north through rich farming areas and across the Equator to the semi-arid and rugged landscape of Samburu National Reserve (360 km).
- Check In at Samburu Sopa lodge.
- The lodge is built atop raised ground allowing panoramic views of distant Samburu hills to one side and El Ndonyo Keri on the other.
- Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar.
- Overnight in Samburu.
Day 3 SAMBURU
- Full day free at leisure.
- You can visit Samburu village or can enjoy Bird watching.
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar.
- Overnight in Samburu.
Day 4 SAMBURU - ABERDARES
- After breakfast, drive to the Aberdare Highlands, arriving at the Aberdare Country Club for lunch(220 kms).
- After lunch, transfer to Ark in the lodge's own vehicle with overnight bags (main luggage is stored at the Outspan Hotel for collection the following day).
- Afternoon at leisure to enjoy an excellent view of animals visiting the waterhole from the observation platforms of the lodge.
- Dinner and overnight at The Ark or similar.
Day 5 LAKE NAIVASHA
- After an early breakfast drive into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch (240 kms).
- Afternoon at leisure or choose from a selection of optional excursions, including guided walks with naturalists or boat rides (book and pay locally).
- Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha.
Day 6 MASAI MARA
- After an early breakfast drive to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge (270 kms).
- Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in one of the world’s finest game reserves.
- Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara.
Day 7 MASAI MARA
- An early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional extra), or take an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge.
- Rest of the morning at leisure at the lodge.
- After lunch, proceed on a late afternoon game drive.
- Dinner and overnight at Masai Mara.
Day 8 MASAI MARA - DEPART TO NAIROBI
- After breakfast, you will be transferred to Nairobi airport for your flight back home this morning.
- Masai Mara Safari Kenya comes to an end,
- Accommodation at the hotels with daily breakfast as per the itinerary.
- Entrance fees and sightseeing services as specified in the itinerary.
