Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong

Meal: Breakfast included
Welcome to Guwahati. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport/Railway Station.
Proceed to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East".
Reach the majestic Umium Lake (Barapani).
You may do the water sports here (Optional).
On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel.
Evening you can visit Police Bazaar, which is the biggest local market.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 Excursion to Cherrapunji - Visit Elephanta Falls in Shillong

Meal: Breakfast included
Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong.
After an early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places in the world.
Visit Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park.
Evening return to Shillong.
Visit Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak for some breathtaking views.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3 Transfer to Kaziranga National Park - Visit Tea Plantations

Meal: Breakfast included
After breakfast tansfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the One Horn Indian Rhinoceros.
Check in at your hotel/Lodge/resort.
Evening you may visit Orchid Park and the nearby Tea Plantations.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 4 Morning Elephant Ride - Jeep Safari in Afternoon

Meal: Breakfast included.
Early morning explore Kaziranga National Park on the back of an elephant.
Apart from the world's endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants, and Royal Bengal Tiger.
Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here.
We will return to the resort for breakfast.
Afternoon we proceed for a jeep safari.
Evening comes back to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 5 Transfer to Dirang - Visit Apple Nursery, Kiwi Farm and Hot Water Springs

Meal: Breakfast included.
Start early in the morning for Dirang.
On the way, visit Orchid Research Centre Tipi, an orchidarium with about 10,000 orchid plants belonging to various genera and species.
Enroute visit Nag Mandir.
Arrive and check in to your hotel.
After lunch, visit the regional apple Nursery, kiwi farm, hot water spring, Sangti Valley and Dzong Fort.
Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 6 Transfer to Tawang via Sela Pass - Visit Nuranang Falls and More

Meal: Breakfast included
After breakfast, transfer to Tawang.
Enroute, visit the war cemetery.
Continue driving until you reach Sela Pass, at an altitude of 4170 m / 13700 ft. This pass is famous for its high-altitude lakes and scenic beauty.
Continue the drive to Jaswant Garh War Memorial, a memorial of the brave Indian soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat.
Visit Nuranang Falls (Jang Falls).
Arrive and check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 7 Excursion to Bumla Pass or Tawang City Tour

Meal: Breakfast
After breakfast, we have 2 options for the day. We can visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border) for which you will have to take a permit from the DC office at Tawang on your own, Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake) and Pangateng Tso Lake (P.Tso Lake).
Please Note: you will also have to take a local taxi in Tawang on a direct payment basis to cover these places as our vehicles are not allowed. OR you may visit Tawang Monastery (Namgey Lhatse), Singsor Ani Gompa, Gorsam Chorten and Tawang War Memorial.
Please note that it may not be possible to cover all the places in a day if you visit Bumla Pass and Madhuri lake.
Evening return back to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 8 Transfer to Bomdila - Explore the City Attractions and Local Markets

After Breakfast, transfer to Bomdila.
Check-in the hotel on arrival. Visit Bomdila Monastery, Bomdila View Point, and Apple Orchards.
Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic views of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges.
Evening you can visit the local market.
Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 9 Transfer to Guwahati - Evening River Cruise

Meal: Breakfast
After Breakfast, transfer to Guwahati.
Check in to your hotel.
Evening you may take a River Cruise (Direct Payment) on the mighty River Brahmaputra.
You may also visit the local market.
Assam is famous for Assam Silk, particularly Golden Muga Silk, Assam Tea, Bamboo and Cane Products.
Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 10 Transfer back to Guwahati - CIty Tour - Depart from Guwahati

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
As time permits, we may take a tour of the Kamakhya Temple and other Temples in Guwahati, namely Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Sukreswar Temple, Navagraha Temple, Umananda Temple at the Peacock Island, which is the smallest inhabited River Island in the World.
With everlasting memories, transfer to Guwahati airport/railway station for onward journey.
