5 Days Itinerary for Darjeeling and Gangtok

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Darjeeling

Pickup from NJP Railway Station/IXB Airport by our representative and transfer to Darjeeling.
On arrival check in to the hotel.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 2 Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning (at 4.00 AM), drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.
On your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
After breakfast, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ava Art Gallery and Japanese Temple (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs).
Spend the evening at leisure or go out shopping in the local markets,
Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 3 Darjeeling to Gangtok and Gangtok Local Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Gangtok.
On arrival at Gangtok, visit Banjhakri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-drul Chorten, and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 4 Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

After breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir which is 55 kms from Gangtok city.
Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 5 Departure from Gangtok

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel on time.
Drop to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.
