Day 1 Arrival in Shillong
  • Meet and get assistance from our representative at Guwahati airport/railway station.
  • Transfer to Shillong (4,900 ft.), called ' Scotland of the East" (100 km 3 hrs).
  • En-route visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding Sylvan hills.
  • On arrival at Shillong, check-in at your hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.
  • After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world.
  • See the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai.
  • Explore the caves known as Mawsmai.
  • In the evening return to Shillong.
  • En-route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views.
  • Overnight stay at Shillong.
  • In the early morning, drive to Gibbon WLS.
  • Take a walk along with the forest guard.
  • Later drive back to Jorhat.
  • After refreshments, drive to Kaziranga National Park.
  • On arrival at Kaziranga, check in to the hotel.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
  • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
  • In the early morning, go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/06:00 AM/7:00 AM).

  • Return to the Eco Camp.
  • After breakfast, go for a boat ride in rubber dinghies in the Jia Bhoreli River flowing along the national park.

What's Good: Well arranged by Hemant on the hotels, transportations and to the interesting places/temples. Very caring and with follow-up calls from time to time. Arranged very good drivers at (Read More) different locations. As foreigners, we feel very safe and homely travelling with Gateways Destination. Will definitely contact them again for my future travels and will also introduce GATEWAYS DESTINATION N to our friends and families. Thank You Hemant and your staff for the memorable trip.

It was such an beautiful experience spending one week at Meghalaya and final day darshan of Maa Kamakhya at Guwahati. Travelling to Meghalaya was completely new to us (7 Audults and 2 Kids). But Inder (Read More)oots Travel planned our vacation beautifully starting from pick up at Airport and ended with dropping at Guwahati Railway Station. We were completely out of worry zone and enjoyed our vacation to fullest. We need not have to bother anyone from Travel agency complaining anything during the trip. The best part was arrangement of hotels at right place making us superb comfort for our travelling and spending leisure moments.
