Tips When Visiting San Francisco in October

  1. While the weather is pleasant in October, do have a jacket in hand. This is especially helpful when you visit the coastal areas, where wind chills could make you feel colder than it actually is.
  2. If you are looking to explore the entire city, especially over a long stay, so make sure to grab a City Pass. This not only gives you access to multiple tourist attractions at a cheaper rate but also provides you with free commutes on the public transport system around the city.
  3. October marks the end of the peak tourist season. However, rates could still be relatively high due to Halloween festivities, especially towards the latter half of the month. Do make reservations in advance to get the best deals, and thus save more.
  4. Peak hour rush can often cause delays due to traffic jams. Plan well and have a sufficient time buffer to ensure you can reach tourist attractions on time, especially the ones you have made reservations for.
Fall in San Francisco is one of the most beautiful times to visit the Fog City. With the perfect weather setting in, one can never stay indoors with such pleasant weather and the plethora of activities available here.
