Adana Taskopru, also known as Ponte Sarus, is a Roman bridge located in Adana, spanning the river Seyhan. Visitors can walk or drive across and enjoy the picturesque and beautiful views of the river and the surrounding landscape.
Built-in the first half of the second century AD, it is a fundamental transportation link in the region. It was originally a major link in ancient trade routes between the Mediterranean Sea to Anatolia and Persia. Taskopru, which means "stone bridge" in Turkish, is named for its construction, which uses large stone blocks.
