Nestled in one of the traditional Adana houses, overlooking the Seyhan river, the Atatürk Museum was built in the 19th century. Dedicated to the life of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey, it contains a collection of his items and numerous historical documents and artefacts related to his life and career.
With exhibits on the history of the Republic of Turkey and its transition to a secular, modern, and democratic state, a visit to the museum will guide you through Ataturk's role in the Turkish War of Independence and his efforts to modernize Turkey. There are also displays related to his hobbies and interests and his contributions to arts and science.
