Agadir Oufella, also known as the Kasbah, translates to ‘fortress at the top’. It was built in 1540 by Sultan Mehmed Sheikh al-Saadi to protect the city from invaders, particularly the Portuguese. Due to earthquakes in the past, the fort has been destroyed, and now only the remains stand. It is a great point to watch the sunset or view the beautiful Agadir Bay.
