Located in Apache County of Arizona and about six miles from New Mexico, Alpine was initially known as Fort Bush. This beautiful countryside place is one of the highest points where farming is successfully carried out. Surrounded by Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Alpine is a popular place for hunting, fishing, and camping. Due to its altitude and location at the end of White Mountains, it is flocked by many as a wildlife and bird watching destination. While the campers prefer the Luna Lake, the Coronado Trail Scenic Byway offers scenic views too. Not only this, the hiking enthusiasts can have the time of their life at the Escudilla Mountain and witness beautiful fall colours or even enjoy horseback riding.
